For you to properly feel at home it’s good to know as much as you can about Top Hat House before you arrive. Below, we’ve given you want we think are the essentials, but please give us a call if you have any more questions about your booking or potential booking. We are here to help.

Find us

Located just off London road in the West End of the city, Top Hat House is easy to find.

Waverley train station and the main bus/coach terminal are an easy 10-minute walk away or a short ride in a Taxi. Edinburgh International Airport is only 25 minutes by car, even quicker if you catch the Airlink coach, which departs every 10 mins from Waverley Bridge. We are a four-minute walk from York Place Station, from here you can take a ride by Tram to the heart of the city in no time at all.

Ample metered parking (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5.30pm) is available outside the house, and there is a long stay in the Omni Centre which is only a six min walk away.

Arrival

Our keyless entry system awaits. Simply enter your unique access code given prior to arrival – and you’re in. Your unique code is valid throughout the duration of your stay, so no need to worry about losing your keys.

Once inside, you’ll find our welcome pack located in the hallway, and you will find helpful tips from Groucho telling you how things work – ie gas fire, lighting in rooms, heating etc. dotted around the house. You will also find a little something in the fridge to get your stay off to a great start.

Remember, Top Hat is fully connected Smart home, so the lights work on a sensor, or by magic if you prefer. If you arrive late at night or between dusk and dawn,  the lights will come on automatically as you enter, going off when you leave. The Wi-fi speeds and simple boost heating system really are the stuff of magic though, and will help make your stay comfortable and hassle-free.

Check in is from 4pm, check out no later than 11am.

Oh, and maximum occupancy is 10 people.

1. Treat the house as your home, and tidy up on once in a while, or even only once, on your way out. This will be a huge help to us.

2. Please put any dirty dishes in the dishwasher before you leave.
